The updated information was shared during a camp management coordination meeting, held on Wednesday, 25th September 2019, with the camp service providers.
We recall that the decision of relocation of IDPs to camps Jad’ah 1-5 (the majority moved to Jad’ah 5 camp) was concluded on 1st September 2019.
As at the end of September 2019 the total number in camp was 7054 families and 27496 individuals:
Jad’ah 1 – 557 families, 1902 individuals;
Jad’ah 2 – 824 families, 2994 individuals;
Jad’ah 3 – 1080 families, 4366 individuals;
Jad’ah 4 – 760 families, 3034 individuals;
Jad’ah 5 – 3833 families, 15200 individuals.
All service providers supported IDPs during the relocation. The cleaning campaign is ongoing: 950 individuals have been engaged in “cash-for-work” to clean all the sectors in Jad’ah camps.
The IDPs are provided by medical services. In all the camps residents can get primary health care and RH service 24/7 (RH – Reproductive Heath, service for pregnant women). In Jad’ah 4-5 camps we provide mental health service on Sunday–Thursday. In Jad’ah 1-3 camps continue immunization and nutrition activities.
The last step for relocation is WASH facilities (WASH – Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). The water treatment system unit will be moved from Jad’ah 6 to Jad’ah 5 camp, water tanks will be installed in all the camps. These activities will be completed by the middle of October 2019.
